•"Go Green" with Animal World Experience

Imagine if there was a way for your backyard to benefit wildlife while still being beautiful and functional to you. There is!  In this intriguing and interactive program we discuss why animals have such a hard time surviving in the average backyard. Kids will meet live animals that they may hope to encounter outside their home as we explore some of the many ways to help them. Using 100% recycled materials; a volunteer from the audience will have the opportunity to help construct a simple birdhouse that they can bring home with them. There will also be many other projects and ideas discussed that children can implement in their own yard.

•Summer Memory Book Workshop with Christine Anderson

Participants should bring photos. They will make an accordian book with signature papers sewn in and with embellishments such as pockets and envelopes glued to the pages. Ages 10 and up with preregistration.

 

•Small Singers & Shakers with Stacey Lake
Tuesday, 3 August at Centerville Library, 4:00 p.m.

Small Singers and Shakers is a music and movement class for children and their parent or caregiver. The class is a mix-aged class ranging from ages 0- 5. Your child will be introduced to new songs weekly, as well as repeat familiar ones to build routine as well as comfort. They will make their own music with various musical instruments, as well as move about to the beat of the music. Every child is a musical one they just need to be given the opportunity!
